The delegation of JICA’s project “Pakistan, Strategic Calculation and Promotion of Energy Conservation Standards and Labeling System” visited JATL on 19th November
December 01,2019
In Pakistan, the challenge is to build a mechanism to disseminate energy efficient products.
Aim to spread more energy efficient products through introducing the minimum energy efficiency standard (MEPS) and the creation of energy efficiency labeling system (Star rating) for air conditioners and refrigerators.
By introducing our efforts, we will provide an opportunity to build a system based on the energy conservation laws of Pakistan.
As part of this project, 15 people from Pakistan, including Ministry of Energy employees, federal government employees, managers of testing laboratories, visited JATL on 19th November.
JATL introduced itself as the first ISO/IEC 17025 accredited air conditioning equipment performance test laboratory in Japan, and had a tour of the test facilities, and a lively question and answer session was held. JATL also explained the need for laboratories that operate with reliable technology for the spread of energy-saving air conditioners.
